Online therapy for depression

Depression is a serious mood disorder that affects how you feel, think, carry out daily activities, and interact with other people. The good news is that depression is highly treatable. With the right depression help and support, you can get better and make a full recovery.

Psychotherapy is effective for most people with depression, and research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as offline in-person sessions.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) was originally developed to treat depression and remains the most widely used form of therapy for this condition today. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts and behavior are connected.

How does CBT work?
  • It helps you understand current thought patterns and the way they influence behavior.
  • It teaches you how to replace harmful thought patterns with more positive ones.
  • It teaches you how to change your behavior in response to any triggers.
Advantages of CBT
  • Teaches how to manage difficult feelings and emotions using relaxation techniques
  • Helps you gain control of your thoughts and learn to think rationally in difficult situations
  • Can be completed in a relatively short period of time compared to other talk therapies
  • You learn useful practical strategies that can help you cope with future challenges of life

Frequently asked questions

Calmerry is an online therapy platform where you can get help from a licensed therapist at affordable prices. Here at Calmerry, we believe that mental help should be accessible, not a luxury, as everyone deserves a healthier life.

Here’s your guide to Calmerry e-counseling:

  • Create an account and complete a 3-minute survey.
  • Decide on a subscription plan. Currently, we offer monthly, quarterly, and biannual plans.
  • Get matched with an online therapist and start therapy. Usually, it takes up to 24 hours.
  • Follow the therapist’s guidelines and track your progress.

For sure, you can ask questions, leave feedback, and gain insights about your results.

Yes. If you’re not happy with your match, you can contact our support team via a live chat or at [email protected] and provide them with a valid reason for assigning a new therapist.

Calmerry is a subscription-based service. Currently, we offer weekly and monthly subscription plans, and the prices start as low as $42 a week. As long as you use our platform, all our subscription fees are automatically charged every month (except our weekly package).

At Calmerry, you will only be matched with a vetted, licensed therapist from your state.

Our therapists are trained, licensed, and experienced clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW/LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a master’s or a doctorate degree in their field.

They have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board after completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice.

After you pay for your subscription, we will start the matching process. Usually, therapists are assigned within 24 hours. However, sometimes we may ask clients to wait a bit longer.

1) Text Therapy. It’s an unlimited messaging therapy that allows having a text session with your therapist anytime. For privacy purposes, all conversations take place in a secure therapy room.

2) Video Therapy. It’s a remote service with the same benefits as traditional in-person therapy, including scheduling appointments with your therapist ahead. The best thing about video therapy is that you don’t have to travel long hours to see the therapist as you can do it from the comfort of your home.

To clients willing to make use of both options, we offer Text & Video Therapy Sessions.

If you want to stop having therapy sessions, you can simply cancel the auto-charge billing. Since all your information is encrypted, you do not need to worry about having an account.

However, if you still wish to cancel the account, you can reach out to our support team. Please specify the reason for canceling, and our team will do everything for you.

Calmerry is committed to offering everyone the best possible experience with our platform and therapists. If you’re not satisfied, you can request a new therapist through your Calmerry account settings (change therapist flow).

Calmerry acts as a platform arranging professional services for its clients, and counselors providing the service through the platform are paid through their arrangement with Calmerry. Generally, refunds for unused time are not granted, much like in cases with other professional medical services.

Your refund request will be evaluated by Calmerry on a case by case basis to resolve any issue you may have, with the options of helping you find a new Counselor, extending your subscription with Calmerry at no additional cost to you or issuing a partial or full refund when applicable at Calmerry’s discretion.

If there is something you believe we could do differently to improve your Calmerry experience, please let us know by contacting us at [email protected]

Calmerry services are not generally covered by Medicare and Medicaid. If your insurer is a private company, you can call your insurance company directly and ask them what your plan covers. Don’t worry if Calmerry is not covered by your insurance. Our subscription fees are comparable with co-pays in most insurance plans.

Our customer support team works 24/7. You can contact them using phone, email, or live chat, and they will answer all your questions.
