How online therapy can help with anxiety

You don’t have to live with worries and fears. Treatment is available, and talk therapy is often the most effective option because it treats more than just the symptoms of your problems. Psychotherapy gives you effective tools to overcome anxiety and teaches you how to use them. Online therapy for anxiety is an accessible and affordable option that allows you to talk with your therapist in the safety of your own home or any other place that fits you.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most widely-used therapy for anxiety disorders. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts and behavior are connected and focuses on identifying, understanding, and changing thinking and behavior patterns.

How does CBT work?
  • It helps you understand current thought patterns and the way they influence behavior.
  • It teaches you how to replace harmful thought patterns with more positive ones.
  • It teaches you how to change your behavior in response to any triggers.
Advantages of CBT
  • Teaches how to manage difficult feelings and emotions using relaxation techniques
  • Helps you gain control of your thoughts and learn to think rationally in difficult situations
  • Can be completed in a relatively short period of time compared to other talk therapies
  • You learn useful practical strategies that can help you cope with future challenges of life

Frequently asked questions

Calmerry is a place where you can get help from a licensed counselor at affordable prices. Here at Calmerry, we believe that mental help must be accessible, not a luxury, as everyone deserves a healthier life.

Calmerry only works with licensed, verified counselors that specialize in a variety of mental health issues. We believe that taking care of your mental health can help you make healthy lifestyle choices and live a happy, fulfilling life. Therefore, our professional counselors will help you with getting the life that you want back on track.

Text Therapy. You have access to your virtual therapy room 24/7 and can leave a message to your counselor at any time. Text therapy involves asynchronous communication, so we don’t guarantee that you will get instant responses from your counselor. However, you can expect that your counselor will respond to your messages 1-2 times a day during their working days.

Video Therapy. You can schedule a session with a therapist using an online video conferencing platform. Live video therapy sessions are held in real time and feel more personal than text-based online therapy. Multiple studies have found that live video therapy has the same effect as face-to-face sessions.

Calmerry is a subscription-based service. Currently, we offer weekly and monthly subscription plans, and the prices start as low as $42 a week. As long as you use our platform, all our subscription fees are automatically charged every month (except our weekly package).

At Calmerry, you will only be matched with a vetted, licensed therapist from your state.

Our therapists are trained, licensed, and experienced clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW/LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a master’s or a doctorate degree in their field.

They have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board after completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice.

It depends on the nature and severity of your condition and the type of treatment provided. Each person’s experience of psychotherapy will be different, and the time it takes to see an improvement will also vary. Sometimes even slight changes are quite visible, but the majority of clients report feeling better after 3 months of therapy. It takes time for therapy to work because ingrained habits and interpersonal patterns are not quick to change. To benefit from a therapy process, you need to actively engage in the treatment, complete assignments between sessions, and be honest with your counselor when describing symptoms and situations.

1) Text Therapy. It’s an unlimited messaging therapy that allows having a text session with your therapist anytime. For privacy purposes, all conversations take place in a secure therapy room.

2) Video Therapy. It’s a remote service with the same benefits as traditional in-person therapy, including scheduling appointments with your therapist ahead. The best thing about video therapy is that you don’t have to travel long hours to see the therapist as you can do it from the comfort of your home.

To clients willing to make use of both options, we offer Text & Video Therapy Sessions.

Calmerry is a subscription-based service. Currently, our clients can choose from 3 subscription plans with fees starting from $42 for Messaging Therapy. All our subscriptions are automatically charged on a monthly model as long as those subscriptions are active. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

You can access Calmerry from any device, from your PC to your cell phone. You can use the web (browser) version or download an app for Android or iOS. All you need is to have a stable internet connection to communicate with your counselor.

Calmerry services are not generally covered by Medicare and Medicaid. If your insurer is a private company, you can call your insurance company directly and ask them what your plan covers. Don’t worry if Calmerry is not covered by your insurance. Our subscription fees are comparable with co-pays in most insurance plans.

At Calmerry, you will only be matched with a vetted licensed therapist from your state.
