Do you have problems with food or abnormal eating habits? Have you become obsessed with your weight or body shape? Counseling can give you a chance to control your eating disorder and help you develop a better body image and self-esteem. Seeking help for your eating disorder is a big first step on your recovery journey.
Eating disorders are complicated because they affect people emotionally, physically, and socially. It’s necessary to get professional support to combat them. Psychotherapy is the most important component of eating disorder treatment. It involves seeing a mental health professional on a regular basis. Therapy for eating disorders can help you learn skills and strategies you can implement into your everyday life to address your condition.
Online therapy can be beneficial for people with eating disorders who do not have the option of doing face-to-face sessions. Research revealed that internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) with real-time therapist support is feasible for patients with bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the leading evidence-based psychotherapy treatment for eating disorders. It focuses on identifying negative thought patterns and emphasizes the importance of the person making behavioral changes and working on specific tasks between sessions to produce this change.
You don’t have to battle your eating disorder alone. Online counseling gives you an opportunity to talk about what you’re going through in a safe, non-judgmental space from the comfort of your own home. Our licensed counselors will meet with you on your terms and provide you with the support and tools you need to make a positive change.
Your counselor will develop a personalized treatment plan and will guide you during the treatment process to help you regain a healthy relationship with food and yourself.

Calmerry is a place where you can get help from a licensed counselor at affordable prices. Here at Calmerry, we believe that mental help must be accessible, not a luxury, as everyone deserves a healthier life.
Calmerry only works with licensed, verified counselors that specialize in a variety of mental health issues. We believe that taking care of your mental health can help you make healthy lifestyle choices and live a happy, fulfilling life. Therefore, our professional counselors will help you with getting the life that you want back on track.
Text Therapy. You have access to your virtual therapy room 24/7 and can leave a message to your counselor at any time. Text therapy involves asynchronous communication, so we don’t guarantee that you will get instant responses from your counselor. However, you can expect that your counselor will respond to your messages 1-2 times a day during their working days.
Video Therapy. You can schedule a session with a therapist using secure therapy space with a video chat room. Live video therapy sessions are held in real time and feel more personal than text-based online therapy. Multiple studies have found that live video therapy has the same effect as face-to-face sessions.
Calmerry is a subscription-based service. Currently, we offer weekly and monthly subscription plans, and the prices start as low as $50 a week. As long as you use our platform, all our subscription fees are automatically charged every month (except our weekly package).
At Calmerry, you will only be matched with a vetted, licensed therapist from your state.
Our therapists are trained, licensed, and experienced clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW/LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a master’s or a doctorate degree in their field.
They have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board after completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice.
It depends on the nature and severity of your condition and the type of treatment provided. Each person’s experience of psychotherapy will be different, and the time it takes to see an improvement will also vary. Sometimes even slight changes are quite visible, but the majority of clients report feeling better after 3 months of therapy. It takes time for therapy to work because ingrained habits and interpersonal patterns are not quick to change. To benefit from a therapy process, you need to actively engage in the treatment, complete assignments between sessions, and be honest with your counselor when describing symptoms and situations.
1) Text Therapy. It’s an unlimited messaging therapy that allows having a text session with your therapist anytime. For privacy purposes, all conversations take place in a secure therapy room.
2) Video Therapy. It’s a remote service with the same benefits as traditional in-person therapy, including scheduling appointments with your therapist ahead. The best thing about video therapy is that you don’t have to travel long hours to see the therapist as you can do it from the comfort of your home.
To clients willing to make use of both options, we offer Text & Video Therapy Sessions.
At Calmerry, we offer a variety of subscription plans to fit your needs, starting at just $50 a week for Messaging Therapy. Your subscription is billed monthly and will continue until you decide to cancel, which you can do at any time.
You can access Calmerry from any device, from your PC to your cell phone. You can use the web (browser) version or download an app for Android or iOS. All you need is to have a stable internet connection to communicate with your counselor.
Calmerry services are not generally covered by Medicare and Medicaid. If your insurer is a private company, you can call your insurance company directly and ask them what your plan covers. Don’t worry if Calmerry is not covered by your insurance. Our subscription fees are comparable with co-pays in most insurance plans.
